From Chloe's Mommy

I have decided that I would post something today. Drew wrote a wonderful post today and it has really made me think. It is amazing how much 2 people can change one life. My life changed when Jason came into it. His smile, his laugh, they are so contagious and I knew that I never wanted to let him go. He is so amazing. I never thought that I could love anyone so much. He can brighten my day with something as simple, but as powerful, with "I love you!" He can make me laugh when no one else can. He is truly my best friend and I don't know what I would do without him. I prayed for him for a very long time (over 3 years) and one day out of nowhere he shows up. I knew that I loved him from that very first moment. He is truly the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Then comes Chloe! From the time that I found out that I was pregnant with her, I knew that I couldn't love anything more. From the first breath she breathed, I knew that I was totally in love.

(The picture below is not for the people with weak stomachs!) Here is Chloe entering the world. She is taking her first breath and her daddy and I are falling in love with her all in the same instant. She has been a joy! I could never ask for a more spirited, loving, giving child as Chloe is. She has become such a precious little girl. I can't even call her a baby anymore because she talks and acts like a big girl. I love it when she tells Jason and me that she loves us! Those are the words that make my heart melt and the tears start streaming down my face. Those are the greatest words a parent could ever hear.

Now I am sitting here thinking about the little guy that is kicking me night and day. He doesn't really settle down and is all over the place. The feeling of carrying a child inside you 24/7 is tiring, but also amazing. Feeling his movements, his feet kicking, his hands finding his mouth, and him just growing, it is amazing to feel it all happen. I am ready for him to change my life too. I know that it will be different having a little boy, but I am excited for what it will bring.

I could never love 3 people as much as I love Jason, Chloe and Baby Boy Barnett.

Random Photos of Me!

So, as you can tell, I love to put things on my head.............
I love to climb as I explained in my previous post........
I love to play hide and seek.................

I like it when my Dada gets me too.

The Tipton County Fair was fun. The tractors are my favorite.

And let's face it folks, I am just so darn cute!

I am saying a lot more words...too many for Mama to put in a post. I have been doing very well sleeping in my own bed and napping in there too.
Mama, Aunt Anitra, Ethan, Sam, and I all went to a twins garage sale at the Knights of Columbus in Indianapolis. Mama some stuff for Baby Bruvver and me. She found our favorite Dr. Brown bottles for 50 cents and $1 a piece. Things were cheap, cheap, cheap. Anitra also told Mama that she was getting stuff from her too. Then, Aunt Alyssa came over with all of Carter's stuff that he wore when he was just born. Mama said that she doesn't ever have to buy another thing for Baby Bruvver. I have never seen so much blue stuff in all my life. Mama gave Aunt Alyssa all of my clothes that I wore when I was 3 months all the way to 9 months for Baby Caidey. Aunt Alyssa said that it was like Christmas! She doesn't have to buy anything more for Baby Caidey. Mama said that she is lucky to have such great friends that can share clothes like we have. All my clothes first go to Layla, then Caidey. It is money well spent. And then we trade.
Mama says that friends are the best thing in the world...well, besides me and Dada of course.
That's all for now. It is almost my bed time and Dada is busy at a conference and won't be able to put me to bed tonight, so Mama has to go too. Dada, I luv you!
Hugs and Kisses,
Chloe

Mama is a SLACKER, Part II

Ok, So Mama hasn't written anything on my blog for almost a month now. She is very busy getting herself enough sleep and chasing me around. I don't know how she does it. I wear her out. I love to be chased and will yell "get me" to anyone that wants to chase after me. Mama's belly is getting big. I can still sit on her lap, but am running out of room.....what is this baby doing to my Mama?

So we found out that I am going to be a Big Sister to a Little Brother. That's right folks, Mama is having a boy! Good job Dada. One of each and they say they are all done! (Mama and Dada both agree that they are all done. Mama is moody and cries a lot - something about hormones - I don't know)! I love to go up to Mama's belly and kiss it and say Hi to "bruvver"! I can even say his name.....I am so good.

I can say so many things now. I am putting sentences together and will repeat almost anything...so watch what you say around me now. Who knows what will come out of my mouth.

I am figuring out how to get into everything - did you know that if you stand on things, it makes you taller and you can reach the countertops, water and ice on the refridgerator door, things on Dada and Nana's desks, the sink so I can wash my hands and play in the water. I love to stand on chairs and my toy tubs.

I am sleeping very well now. I nap everyday in my bed for 2-2.5 hours. And I am on a really good schedule and go to bed around 9:15 and sleep through the night until it is morning snuggle time with Mama and Dada which can be anywhere from 6-7:30 am.....they should be getting up anyways right? Mama usually has to get up to pee by that time again....."bruvver" is on her bladder or something - she gets up in the middle of the night to pee too....

Mama is at work right now posting this so there are no pictures.....hopefully if she doens't fall asleep tonight too early, she can put some updated pictures of me and "bruvver".

With love,
Chloe
