My Bruvver Has Arrived!
Mommy is doing better. She did really well with the surgery and afterwards. She is a little sore, but is dealing with the pain. Her back is starting to get sore from the hospital bed too. They will probably come home tomorrow....unless Harrison has an issue with the bilirubin like I did....then the bili lights is in his future.....
Have a great day!
Love,
Chloe (the Big Sister)

Update on Mommy
Mommy woke up Thanksgiving morning with the dreaded flu. It was not fun for her. She was having a lot more contractions and was dehydrated so Daddy had to take Mommy to the hospital to get fluids and an anti-nausea shot. They kept her there all morning, then she came home and took a nap with me and then we headed over to Gamma and Gampa's house for dinner, of which, Mommy didn't eat anything, but stuffing. We had a laid back weekend.
Mommy took me to school on Tuesday and Thursday! I love going to school. It is also fun when Mommy picks me up. We met Daddy for lunch last week after school. It was so much fun. Mommy has been busy around the house......She got all of Bruvver's clothes washed and put away. His room is organized, but she still needs to pack their bag. Maybe she will do that tomorrow or Thursday when I am at school!
Mommy went to the Dr again today. They hooked her up to the monitors again for the Non Stress Tests and saw that Mommy was having a lot of contractions again today. Mommy also told the Dr that she has been having a lot of pain too. Well he checked her and found that she hasn't dilated at all, but Bruvver is still head down and laying in a precarious position. He told her that she needs to come back on Friday to have another Non Stress Test done and to be checked again. Bruvver is still due to come on Monday, but they may move it up....we still are not sure.
The Dr actually said something about Mommy going in tomorrow to have Bruvver but she very firmly said, NO!!! For those of you that don't know, tomorrow is Mommy's birthday and she LOVES her birthday. She actually thinks that she was the only person born on December 5th. Her birthday is very special to her. So needless to say, she didn't want Bruvver born on her birthday.
Over the weekend, Mommy found that it was more comfortable to sleep on Nana's couch than it was in bed with Daddy and I. Daddy and I really miss her in the bed with us. Mommy is a good snuggler. Every morning, I get up with Daddy and wake Mommy up with a nice kiss. Then her and I snuggle on the couch and watch Cailou until it is time to eat breakfast.
We will let you know more on Friday. Let's pray that they take him on Friday....Mommy is very uncomfortable.
Love to all,
Chloe

News about Mommy!
Here is the latest picture of Mommy (taken tonight when she is 35 weeks pregnant)! She looks like she is ready to pop!!!!!!!!!! Dang that is a HUGE belly....I have nowhere to sit anymore. Mommy called Daddy after the appt and told him all the news...he tries to turn it into something positive for him and asks her if he can get a flat panel TV to mount in the bedroom for her to watch while she is on bedrest.....SHE TOLD HIM NO!!!!!!!!!! She is not on bed rest, just needs to take it easy!
Please pray that Bruvver doesn't make a Thanksgiving arrival and decides to wait until next week or until the actual C-Section date of December 10th! Mommy is still having contractions, but they are not as often as they have been! We will keep you updated!
Love,
Chloe

School and Illness
I have missed talking to you lately. I have been a little busy.
First of all, I started going to school 2 days a week. I have been attending Moms Day Out at church and have met a bunch of friends and my 3 teachers. I love spending time there. Because of school, I got to get a backpack...Dora the Explorer is the one I chose. I have only been able to go to school 3 times because I got sick over this past weekend with a bad cough and a runny nose. Daddy took me to the doctor yesterday because it wasn't getting any better and this nurse said that I had a bacterial infection and I need to take some Amoxicillian. So after Daddy quit staring at the "hot nurse with big boobs" he took me to Meijer to get my FREE Amoxicillian. Hopefully, I am on the road to recovery and can go back to school on Tuesday!
Mommy's tummy is getting VERY big. She had another ultrasound on Wednesday and found out that the baby weighs 5 lbs 8 ozs already and she still has 4 weeks left.....She also has a lot of amniotic fluid (whatever that is) -- the average person has 15 and Mommy has 35....that is a big difference....maybe that is why she looks big! She is going to have Daddy take a picture this weekend and post it to show everybody how beautiful she looks.
I hope everyone has a great Friday!

Chloe

and I got to drive a truck........
We took a hayride out to the pumpkin patch. I decided to investigate the bug that was on the ground..........
Russell Farms was smart this year. They picked all the pumpkins and put them in a field and you got to walk through and choose the pumpkin of your liking. There were so many pumpkins to choose from.
Mama, Where do I start???

New picture of Bruvver
He weighs 4 lbs right now and the doctor is predicting a 7.5 lb baby.....THANK GOD!!! Mommy was told that she has a lot of amniotic fluid (whatever that is), but other than that, everything looks good. Bruvver is growing strong and is right on for his due date. About 6 more weeks!!!!

For those of you who can't tell, this is his face. He is looking straight at you. Mommy and Daddy said that he has very chunky cheeks and a full head of hair. His forehead is the farthest to the left and then underneath are his eyes, which are the black dots and then his nose and mouth.

TO BE ANNOUNCED ON December 10th....
Talk to you later,
Chloe

Pictures of Mama
Now, here is a picture of Mama now pregnant with baby Bruvver. She is 9 WEEKS from having him.....Tuesday, October 09, 2007
New Things!
1. Gamma came over a couple of weeks ago and had me go pee-pee on the potty...I did it!! I went pee-pee on the potty, have I done it since, Nope!!! But mama talked with Emma's mommy on Saturday and my mama has now made a potty candy basket for me. Now if I could just get used to telling them WHEN I have to pee-pee......
2. Daddy painted my room and it looks great! Mama put all the finishing touches up yesterday and it looks pretty! Daddy also painted Bruvver's room and it is all finished too....except for his name going on the wall, but Mama and I went to get the letters on Sunday.
3. Mama's lap is getting smaller and I don't like it. Mama was thinking that she should have Dada take a picture of her and post it to the blog to show everyone what she looks like with just 9 weeks to go!
4. So lately, I haven't been sleeping well in my bed. I usually wake up around 1:30 am and scream or cry for Mama or Dada to come get me and go to their bed. Any suggestions about how to help them get through this rough time. I fought with Mama last night to go back to sleep in my bed....I have no problems falling asleep in my bed and I nap in my bed, but I just love waking up between Mama and Dada. Dada is getting tired of it because his bed is getting smaller with the dog, Mama and Bruvver, Mama's pregnancy pillow (which is huge!) and then me....I do move around a lot and I talk and whimper in my sleep (just like my Dada). So needless to say, it is kind of hard for them to sleep, but I am sleeping soundly. Thoughts???
5. I went Trick or Treating with Emma on Saturday at the Campgrounds where Aunt Traci and Uncle Ninny were. It was fun. I didn't want anyone else to hold my candy, and boy did I get a loot! I definitely got it down pat and will be ready for October 31st!
6. Last month, I was up at my Papa's house while Dada was on the big bulldozer and we found a snake! I have found that I am scared of snakes. I refused to walk in the grass and was forever asking for an "uppie" from Mama or Papa. Isn't that funny??!? And then Mama bought me "The Jungle Book" on Saturday and there is a big snake, Kaa, but he is funny! Mama and Dada keep telling me that snakes won't hurt me and they are ok.....but I think they are just saying that. I don't think my Mama likes snakes...or spiders (right Aunt Alyssa!?!??!)
7. I went to my first parade a couple of weeks ago with Aunt Alyssa and Carter and Caidey. It was so much fun! I got to see Uncle Ninny driving his big truck and Uncle Brandon was driving an Orange car (surprise, surprise). Carter and I chased each other alot and I got to try out their stroller. I dug it.....I gave Caidey a kiss and loved on her a little....I even kissed Carter. Sorry Dada....I will keep my kisses for you until I get a little older.
Mama has a lot of pictures and videos to post of me.....hopefully she can get those done - maybe tomorrow since she is off.
I think that is all for now....I know Mama probably misses some things, but she will get those posted soon...HOPEFULLY!!!
Hugs and Kisses,
Chloe

From Chloe's Mommy
I have decided that I would post something today. Drew wrote a wonderful post today and it has really made me think. It is amazing how much 2 people can change one life. My life changed when Jason came into it. His smile, his laugh, they are so contagious and I knew that I never wanted to let him go. He is so amazing. I never thought that I could love anyone so much. He can brighten my day with something as simple, but as powerful, with "I love you!" He can make me laugh when no one else can. He is truly my best friend and I don't know what I would do without him. I prayed for him for a very long time (over 3 years) and one day out of nowhere he shows up. I knew that I loved him from that very first moment. He is truly the best thing that has ever happened to me.
Then comes Chloe! From the time that I found out that I was pregnant with her, I knew that I couldn't love anything more. From the first breath she breathed, I knew that I was totally in love.
(The picture below is not for the people with weak stomachs!)
Here is Chloe entering the world. She is taking her first breath and her daddy and I are falling in love with her all in the same instant. She has been a joy! I could never ask for a more spirited, loving, giving child as Chloe is. She has become such a precious little girl. I can't even call her a baby anymore because she talks and acts like a big girl. I love it when she tells Jason and me that she loves us! Those are the words that make my heart melt and the tears start streaming down my face. Those are the greatest words a parent could ever hear.
Now I am sitting here thinking about the little guy that is kicking me night and day. He doesn't really settle down and is all over the place. The feeling of carrying a child inside you 24/7 is tiring, but also amazing. Feeling his movements, his feet kicking, his hands finding his mouth, and him just growing, it is amazing to feel it all happen. I am ready for him to change my life too. I know that it will be different having a little boy, but I am excited for what it will bring.
I could never love 3 people as much as I love Jason, Chloe and Baby Boy Barnett.

Random Photos of Me!
The Tipton County Fair was fun. The tractors are my favorite.

And let's face it folks, I am just so darn cute!
I am saying a lot more words...too many for Mama to put in a post. I have been doing very well sleeping in my own bed and napping in there too.

Mama is a SLACKER, Part II
So we found out that I am going to be a Big Sister to a Little Brother. That's right folks, Mama is having a boy! Good job Dada. One of each and they say they are all done! (Mama and Dada both agree that they are all done. Mama is moody and cries a lot - something about hormones - I don't know)! I love to go up to Mama's belly and kiss it and say Hi to "bruvver"! I can even say his name.....I am so good.
I can say so many things now. I am putting sentences together and will repeat almost anything...so watch what you say around me now. Who knows what will come out of my mouth.
I am figuring out how to get into everything - did you know that if you stand on things, it makes you taller and you can reach the countertops, water and ice on the refridgerator door, things on Dada and Nana's desks, the sink so I can wash my hands and play in the water. I love to stand on chairs and my toy tubs.
I am sleeping very well now. I nap everyday in my bed for 2-2.5 hours. And I am on a really good schedule and go to bed around 9:15 and sleep through the night until it is morning snuggle time with Mama and Dada which can be anywhere from 6-7:30 am.....they should be getting up anyways right? Mama usually has to get up to pee by that time again....."bruvver" is on her bladder or something - she gets up in the middle of the night to pee too....
Mama is at work right now posting this so there are no pictures.....hopefully if she doens't fall asleep tonight too early, she can put some updated pictures of me and "bruvver".
With love,
Chloe

Today, I am 2!

Mommy and Daddy can't believe that I am 2! They say it seems like yesterday that I was wrapped in the hospital blanket and only needing them to do everything for me. Now that I am 2, I can do things by myself. I love to do things by myself. I love to show them how independent I am. I still need them to kiss my boo-boos and to hold me when I am really sleepy, but there are so many things that I can do on my own. I can open all the doors, I can lock the deadbolt to the garage door, I can open the refridgerator and freezer (important task for getting anything out of the refrig and getting my sickles out of the freezer), I am learning to use the potty, I can put my pants on by myself (I do have a hard time getting it over my diaper covered butt), I am figuring out how to use items throughout the house to get me to a higher level, i.e chairs to get me to the countertops, chairs to get me into the back of the "bus" that Mommy drives, and ladders to get me to any high place I need to be. I am putting words together to attempt to make sentences. I love to talk!!!
Oh yeah, did I forget to tell everyone that I just moved into my 5th house in 2 years!!! That is right folks, Mommy and Daddy sold the big house and moved us 2 blocks from Gamma and Gampa...Yes, I can say Gampa now. Every once in a while, I still call him Gaga but he knows who he is.....we think!
I have a big backyard to play in, which I can't escape from, and all my toys are on this back room....Daddy keeps calling it the "Florida Room"?!?! I don't know...whatever. Nana has put all her "Heffer" stuff out - cow stuff for those who don't know what a heffer is. She has one room in the house dedicated to cows....dang does she have a lot of cow stuff. I can't touch ANY OF IT!!!! I am strictly forbidden!
I had a great birthday party on Sunday. All my family came over and a couple friends did too. I had a great time. I received a lot of nice gifts too. I got a chair from GG, a table and chairs with my name on it from Papa and Becky, a Piggy Bank to match from Jamie, clothes and a dump truck from Aunt Traci, Uncle Ninny and Mason, clothes and sand toys from Cousin Stacy and Maddix, a sprinkler ball from Aunt Alyssa, Uncle Brandon, Carter and Caidey, clothes from Uncle Drew, Aunt Juju and Layla, a bubble blowing mower and outside digging toys from Gamma, Gampa and Uncle Ben, the Little People school from Nana, and a Magnadoodle and a new hosue from Mommy and Daddy. Thank you to everyone for everything they got me! I love them all! Thank you for spending my special day with me too!
