Gotta Love Baby Drool

For some reason, when Kya sees Chloe with a little baby drool, food, milk, well anything really on her face, Kya has to lick it off...And boy does Kya love it! It is like a treat...

But then, Kya feels a little left out and doesn't understand why people think I am so darn cute...So here is Kya with the look on her face that says, "Seriously, you can pay a LITTLE attention to me!"

Bad Hair Day?

I believe that I may have a balding issue like my daddy, except mine is on the back of my head and daddy's is on the top of his head. Mommy says I don't have a balding problem (she just tries to do a "comb-over").


I can't believe the bad hair day I have been having for over a month now. I mean, seriously, Mommy needs to tame this stuff or it is just going to get out of control...


I can't believe my Mommy and Daddy let me go out in public with my hair looking like this?!?! But with my Daddy, you have to be ready to go anywhere in a moments notice. I hope this hairdo doesn't haunt me for the rest of my life....

5 Months Old...Holy Cow Am I Really That Old!

So here I am with my daddy. I have him wrapped around my little finger. We talk to each other and he loves to make me laugh when he rubs his beard on my face.

Airplanes and Family

I took my first plane ride and I did great! I slept the whole way down to Florida and slept for the take off and landing coming home. My ears didn't bother me at all. While we were in Florida, I got to hang out with my Aunt Traci and my Uncle Ninny (Vince)! My Uncle Ninny graduated from MMI (Motorcycle Mechanics Institute) and I was so proud of him.

My Aunt Traci and Uncle Ninny moved back home to Noblesville this past weekend too. I am so glad to have them home. Now I can go over there whenever I want and play. My cousin Mason has a lot of cool toys. I love to lay and watch him play with his Geo Tracks. He also plays with me - he makes me laugh. He is so funny. I get to go over to my Aunt Traci's and Uncle Ninny's house on Tuesday - they are going to babysit me all day. I promise to be very good for them. Well, I think that is all for now. I have to finish eating my cereal before going to bed for the night.

Thanksgiving

I am going on my first plane ride tomorrow morning. Mommy is a little nervous about me flying, she hopes I do well. I hope I like to fly. Mommy and Daddy are taking all of my toys and plenty of food. Between Mommy, Daddy and Nana, I should be okay! I am going to Florida to see my Aunt Traci and meet my Uncle Ninny for the first time. I can't wait to see him. He says that he isn't going to let me go. I hope me loves and smooches all over me. I sure miss my Aunt Traci too. She loves to give me smoochers. They are coming home on Friday...YEAH!!!!! I can't wait. Aunt Traci gets to babysit me all day on Tuesday too. I am going to go over to her house and help her put things on the walls and unpack. She sure is going to be busy.

Halloween 2005

Last night I was dressed up and sat in front of the bonfire and slept while Mommy, Daddy, Nana, Jeff, Cindy, Papa, and Bec handed out candy to all the trick-or-treaters. My cousin Mason came over after he got a pumpkin full at his new neighborhood. Here is a picture that Daddy took:

Something Has Got to Change

No, No, Not the Beard...Ok, Daddy's Halloween party is over, but he still hasn't shaved. It is so scratchy. Something has got to change, either he shaves or I just have to get used to being scratched when he kisses on me...either way, I still love him. He is my daddy! I think the reason he hasn't shaved yet is because Mommy doesn't like the beard either and he loves to bug her! HAHA Hugs and Kisses (with Chloe drool) on Halloween!!!

Three Months Old

So I am now 3 months old now. I am getting very big. I am starting to roll around onto my sides and LOVE to suck on my fingers. I love to giggle at daddy and mommy and love the feel of my daddy's beard on my face and mouth (he is growing one for his halloweeen costume). I like to sleep through the night, but sometimes change it up for daddy to feed me around 4:30 in the morning. We love that bonding time together. I love to look around and see what is going on around me. The fan is so entertaining and so is my mobiles.

I will keep you updated with pictures and with exciting things that are going on in my life. The next big thing is my mommy and daddy are going to be celebrating their 1 year wedding anniversary on Sunday. Mommy told me what she got daddy and he is going to LOVE IT!!!!! She has been so good keeping it a secret for over a month. Just a few more days mommy, just a few more days.

Nashville, Indiana

I got to go to Nashville, Indiana for the first time...Now that I think about it, alot of the stuff I do is for the first time. Oh well...We went with our neighbors Jeff and Cindy. They are expecting their first child in May and I was preparing them for it. Cindy got to feed me while everyone else was eating (Chicken Salad with Dill...who would have thought)! Then I decided to "fuss" for a little while on the car ride home...I was just hungry people!!!

Mommy and Daddy got me a new T-shirt and sweatshirt...my t-shirt says "Spoiled Rotten by Nana" and my sweatshirt says "I love mommy and daddy, but grandma and grandpa are the best!"

I am getting stronger everyday. I love to sit up and watch TV with my daddy. He is the greatest! I love you Daddy, and mommy too!

Mommy's First Week at Work

Mommy went back to work finally. She didn't seem happy about it, but she knows it is what she needs to do. So Daddy kicked her butt out the door bright and early last Monday morning at 6:30am while we slept. I miss not seeing her face in the morning, but I enjoy every minute with her when she gets home from work. But for some reason, I am still "fussing" for an hour straight between 6pm and 9pm. Maybe I can calm that down here soon...I know Mommy and Daddy would be happy if I did.

So, I miss Mommy while she is at work, but I am SPOILED ROTTEN by my Nana.

I like Autumn

First Day Without Mommy

Today was my first day without my mommy all day long. I missed my mommy and I think mommy missed me too. When she came home, she hugged me and kissed me alot. I got to hang out with my Nana all day. She takes good care of me. We played and Nana did a lot of laundry. I think tomorrow will be better...

Happenings this Week!

On Monday, September 12th, I went to the doctor for my 2 month checkup. I now weigh 11 lbs 8 ozs and I am 22 1/2 inches long. Boy am I growing. I also got 2 shots in my left leg and 1 shot in my right leg and man did they hurt. I screamed really loudly. I am very healthy and right on track with everything. My Aunt Traci and Cousin Mason are coming to my house on Wednesday to stay with us until Monday. I am so excited to see my Aunt Traci again. She smooches on me and I love it! Maybe my cousin Mason will hold me again! He is so cool!!! Well, I will let you know how the weekend goes.

Our First Family Picture

This is the first Barnett Family picture. We are all doing well. Chloe goes for her 2 month check up and SHOTS!! I am not looking forward to it and Mommy isn't either. Good thing Nana is here. Daddy has been very busy with work and Kya has been busy licking me all over the face. Mommy has been feeling alot better since her surgery. Mommy and daddy are already talking about when they are going to make me a big sister, can you believe that!?! No, she is not pregnant now, but she hopes to be by next February or March.... We'll keep you informed!

Maybe One Day

Maybe one day I will walk in my daddy's footsteps and go to Purdue. That would make him proud.
