Please Pray for my Friends!

I am writing to let you know that my friends, Sam and Ethan, are in need of your prayers. My mommy's friend at work had twins on January 5th. They were born very healthy. Sam was 5 lbs 14 ozs and Ethan was 6 lbs!

Here is a picture of Ethan.

Here is a picture of Sam!

Sam was rushed to Riley North last night because he was having a hard time breathing. Please keep both boys in your prayers. Their mommy and daddy are completely drained emotionally and physically. Please keep them in your prayers also! You can visit their blog at utzigfamilysite.blogspot.com.

We are all children of God!

New Pictures...or Maybe Not!

So there are a bunch of new pictures that Mommy and Daddy have taken of me. Mommy even uploaded them into the computer at home, but in the chaos of trying to put me to bed last night, Mommy fell asleep at 8:45 pm and didn't get my blog updated with new photos.

Mommy and Daddy are trying to get me on a schedule. You see, since my Nana watches me, I can go to sleep whenever I want and wake up whenever I want, but Mommy would like to change that. Mommy and Daddy have decided that it would be better for me to have a schedule so they can have a portion of their evenings to themselves...but if Mommy keeps falling asleep at 8:40 when I go to bed, how is that going to happen?!?! I actually think they want me out of their bed, but they are too chicken to say that to me....

So I have slept in my bed for 2 nights now....last night Mommy woke up at 12:20 am and saw that I was sleeping with my feet on the floor and my head on the bed, then at 4:45 am I saw my baba and started to dance around with it in my mouth and Mommy picked me up and put me in bed with her and Daddy. I guess I am making progress, they at least get a few hours in their bed without me.

Hopefully Mommy will remember to put pictures of me on the blog...so stay tuned.

Love to all,
Chloe

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! This year my Christmas picture was a surprise. All of my family got 8x10's of me this year for Christmas, so Mama didn't want to post the pictures until today.

I don't want to smile.....

Dada needs to learn when a girl like me is sick of having her picture taken...No I am not going to smile anymore. I love you Dada!

I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Sorry my mama has been very busy and hasn't been able to post pictures...people are always getting into accidents and causing her to do more work...Daddy keeps telling her "job security" - whatever that means.

My mommy and daddy found a cyst-like thing on my left ankle. I was taken to the dr and they told me that someone more special than them had to look at it...so mommy took me to this HUGE place (Methodist) and I had pictures taken of my foot - I wasn't asked to smile or anything. Then this guy in a white coat came in and said that he wants to have an ultrasound done on it....so later that week Daddy and Nana took me back to the HUGE hospital and had an ultrasound done....the person that looked at the ultrasound wasn't too sure about it and said that they wanted another doctor to look at it also...well, to say the least, I am going back to the HUGE hospital and going back to see the guy in the white coat. Hopefully he will tell me that it is a cyst and won't touch it for awhile...It doesn't hurt or anything, but they are worried about my growth plates or something - I wonder if I ate those while I was in mommy's tummy.....growth plates - huh, what a funny word. The guy in the white coat told mommy that if it doesn't go away in a year or so then he will have to surgically remove it....YUCK!!!

I had a great Christmas. I was not a good girl at church - daddy and I watched Fraggle Rock in the car halfway thru the Church service. I only took a one hour nap all day and then stayed up until 10:30pm opening presents at Gama and Gaga's house....with Uncle Ben. I got so much cool toys - the clothes were ok...Mommy thought they were cool - mama said that she sees a post dedicated to Brett Favre coming soon....I got a Brett Favre jersey for Christmas and a pink Packers sweatshirt....On Sunday I woke up and there was a Radio Flyer tricycle for me under the tree along with a baby stroller for my baby. Then off to Aunt Traci and Uncle Ninny's house...more toys - YEAH!!!! I got a Little People's Noah's Ark and then I saw that Mason got this HUGE semi with a jeep on the back...and boy did Santa get him a bunch of stuff too....That Santa guy is so nice. I can't wait to meet him. Mommy and Daddy said that next year I could meet him - I guess Santa ran out of time or something. Then after Aunt Traci and Uncle Ninny's house we went to see Papa and Becky. I got Toys, toys and more toys. They counteracted Gama and Gaga with a Colts warm up suit for me in pink. I guess I will have to support both teams. There are so many things to play with that I don't even know where to start....The weebles castle has been played with though - Thank you Gama and Gaga for the weebles castle.

Well, Mama needs to get back to work, more claims just landed on her desk - YUCK!!!!

Love to all,
Chloe Marie

Where have I been?

Okay, so Mommy has been busy with the Holiday's, we had everyone over at our new house for Turkey Day, then there is the putting up of this tree...inside our house...and then hanging all these shinny balls on it that I get in trouble for touching.

Me teasing Kya

I love me some chips and dip!

My friend Elle came to visit, she really knows how to smile. Her Mommy made homemade macaroni and cheese and cornbake!! Daddy wants them to come visit more often.

So, just what is this thing?

I've got Daddy wrapped around my little fingers.

Uncle Ben read me a story while I sat in my car seat.

Since I love chips and dip so much, I have to take lots
of baths.

Elle was teaching me how to do this smile thing on command.

What a week of...heck

This week has been tough on me, oh yeah and mommy and daddy. Last Tuesday I thought it would be funny to empty my tummy on mommy and daddy, I think daddy wrote something about that. Well, the days that followed were full of temperatures in the 100 - 104 degree area accompanied by crabbiness, restfullness and all the other "..nesses" that I'm too young to know.
So Friday I got to go see Dr. Kain in her nice room with the Seasame Street Gang all over the walls. She said that I may have Roseola, such a pretty name, or something called a UTI. The doctor told mommy and daddy not to worry about the temperature too much as long as I kept drinking from my cup, and if I was still hot, maybe I'd get to see her again on Monday! Well by Sunday mommy and daddy were a little worried and I got to go see another doctor man this time. Doctor man said the same and his nurse put some little baggie down by my who-ha to catch my pee, what a silly thing to do. He also gave me something to make me feel better, bubble gum out of a dropper, the best!!
Monday came and I was still a hot little girl so I got to go see Dr. Kain again. She said that I had and infection in my pee, what is an infection and just how would she know that? So the doctor took my pretty Roseola name away from me and said I had a UTI, is that what E.T. came to earth in? So more medicine in a dropper, and I started to feel better and act like a little girl again. Of course I think I'll play this out a little today and be clingy so mommy and daddy get to hold me all night, such a rough life this being a baby is.

15 Month Checkup!

So on Friday, I had my 15 month checkup. Stats are as follows:

Height: 29 3/4 inches long
Weight: 19 lbs 2 ozs

The doctor told Mommy that she needs to put real butter on everything I eat and I can eat all the ice cream I want. The doctor said that I need to gain some weight. I am in the 25% for height and 2% for weight. I am perfect in every way though. I have a slight sinus infection - nothing a little Amoxicilian can't cure and also had to have 4 shots - OUCH!! On Saturday, I ran a slight fever - 101 degrees. I am still having a hard time sleeping through the night, but mommy and daddy are still letting me sleep with them when I wake up in the middle of the night. They are the best!!

Daddy surprised Mommy with a new vehicle for their anniversary - well kind of...We now have a 2007 GMC Yukon XL. It is silver and very cool. It even has a TV for me to watch all the movies that I really don't care to watch because I really don't watch TV. I guess they were thinking for in the future...

Here are some cute pictures of me....

Hope you all are enjoying the new pictures my mommy is posting. There are quite a few...

Russell Farms Pumpkin Patch

Today, my cousin, Mason, and Aunt Traci, Mommy and Daddy and I all went to Russell Farms Pumpkin Patch. There was so much to do. They had a Corn Maze, Pedal Tractors, horses to rope steer heads, PUMPKINS and ANIMALS!!
HORSES!!

And GOATS!

And PIGS oh my!!!

This is Mason and I in the Corn Maze. He tried to get us lost a couple of times. Whew! I am glad that we made it out because after that we went on this big tractor looking thingy with hay in it and I got me a pumpkin!

This is Mason and I on the gator.

This is Mason and I on a "horse". Aren't we just adorable???

We all had a lot of fun! Mason and I were the only ones that got pumpkins though. Daddy said something about Walmart having theirs for only $2.98 a piece no matter what size. He is so silly!

My New House and My New Room

So we have officially moved in and the day of closing, Mommy and Aunt Traci painted my room....PINK!! It is very pink and I am going to have bugs as my theme. I love it. I don't like to sleep in my room for long periods of time, but am getting longer stretches every now and again. I love my new house. There are plenty of stairs to climb and tons of stuff for me to help out with. Over the weekend, I was helping Daddy put the books in the bookshelf. I was actually pulling them off just as much as he was putting them on. Mommy and Daddy bought me a slide over the weekend. It is so cool. Mommy told Daddy that she needs to take pictures, but it was a busy weekend and no pictures were taken. Maybe tonight. There are pictures from Labor Day that she still needs to put on my blog, but Daddy is holding them ransom on his laptop.

Some new stuff about me:

Teeth: 13 with the 14th coming in - OUCH
Food: I will eat everything - I am loving apples right off the core, Mac and Cheese, Grilled Cheese, Turkey and cheese, pizza, breadsticks, spaghetti, Mini Ravioli with Meatballs, COOKIES and Cheese Nips, pretty much anything Mommy and Daddy will eat.
Hair: I went to see Mommy's hairdresser again for another cut. It grows so fast. Daddy said that I am going to be blind in one eye because when my hair is down, I have to turn my head to see through the hair.
Height and Weight: I still haven't gone for my 15 month appt (scheduled for Oct 27th) but Mommy and Daddy were finally able to turn my car seat around. They believe I weigh at least 20 lbs. I am still wearing most of my 9 Month onesies and definitely all of my 12 month clothes. Mommy and Daddy bought me a winter jacket and snow pants in 12 months. I am so petite. My boyfriend Carter is catching up to me and he is 4 1/2 months younger than me. He is so cute, don't you think?!?!
Words: Mama, Dada, GaGa (Grampa Jerry), Nana (Grandma Karen), Gomma (Gramma Doreen), Kya, KittyKitty (Turtle), Cookie, Nose, Eye, Belly Button, Duckie, NightNight, Baba, nana (Banana, "Kya Come"; I try to say: Mason, Aunt Taci, Ninny (Uncle Vince)and Uncle Ben, but they don't come out very clear. The rest of the time I grunt or scream and point at what I want. I can also sign "Eat" and "More"

I will try to have Daddy put new pictures of me on my blog.

Love to all,
Chloe

2 Down, 2 To Go!

That is 2 houses down and 2 more to go... I am now living in my 3rd house and I am now 14 MONTHS old!!! I can't believe this. My life is crazy. I am getting teeth left and right and up and down and I am now living in this one bedroom house and I am sleeping in the front entry way. Mommy and Daddy's bedroom is small and my crib doesn't fit in there. They keep telling me that this "New House" is going to be bigger and I can run everywhere and will have my own ROOM and a play room and something about Daddy having his own FLOOR??? I hope he doesn't plan on sleeping on the floor - I hope Mommy lets him sleep in their bed... They can't wait to sleep in their big bed again - something about this Queen just is too small...I don't know. I am only 14 months you know. So we watch our 1 channel on the big screen tv - boy is that fun - sometimes it comes in clear and sometimes it is fuzzy, but cable for 3 weeks just wasn't practical. Mommy and Daddy are really missing Rachel Ray. That is all for now... Wish me luck in the front entry way!

Love to all,
Chloe Marie

So Many New Things

Ok, So there are a lot of things going on in my little life. I can't believe all the changes that have taken place and are about to take place. First, I took my first trip to Wisconsin over Labor Day weekend, Daddy had never been there either. I got to see my Great Aunt Nancy and Great Uncle Jim and their daughters, Becca (who was in from NYC) and Carrie. I also got to see my cousins, Kristi, John, Kayla, Ashlee, and Addison. Then I went on my first boat ride with my Gramma and Grampa's friends Mike and Nancy Olsen. It was so much fun. I giggled and laughed so hard. I got to walk around the boat too. IT WAS A BLAST! We also went to this cabin thing in the middle of nowhere in Northern Wisconsin (UPNORT!)

Then we got home on Tuesday and now we have to move again! This will be my third move in my short 14 months of age. Then we have to move again in 3 weeks. My parent's are driving me nuts with this uprooting thing. I can't believe they are doing this to me. It must be a good thing that I am not in school yet. Maybe that is why they are doing this to me now. So now we are moving to the "little house" as I have noticed everyone seems to call it. It is a rental that is owned by Uncle Ninny's mom and dad. It is only a one bedroom house, so I am going to have to shack up with Mommy and Daddy. And everyone knows how Mommy snores - good grief! I hope I get some sleep at night. So now Mason and I are going to be neighbors (for only 3 weeks), then I get to move into my house with my own room. That will be much better.

Mommy said that she is going to post pictures from Labor Day weekend, but Daddy took over 534 pictures and probably wouldn't fit on ONE disk. She is going to have to search and copy the ones she would like to put on my blog. So stay tuned. They will probably be on next week, since this is going to be a very busy moving weekend...AGAIN!!!!

Love to all and wish us luck!

Mommy told me Great News!

It seems that mommy and daddy have decided to add another little one to our family, I don't remember them asking me if I wanted anyone to take some attention away from me, but I guess I'll just have to learn how to deal with that. Even though there'll be a new addition, I'll still get spoiled everyday, I've got them wrapped around my little fingers and toes.

As the new little person is coming in March/April, I guess mommy and daddy wanted the excitement and pleasure of having two little ones under two for a short period of time. Can you imagine the diaper output we're going to have!! Thankfully daddy has a big dumpster at work that can help out with that.

So now I've got eight or so months left of "it's all about me" time, I'll have to milk it as much as I can. Don't get me wrong, I'm very excited about having a little brother or sister, I wonder if they'll tell me which one it will be.

I can't wait to be the big sister, to make messes and blame it on my sibling, to be the bigger one and tell them "because I'm older, that's why" and to teach the little one about life. First rule; My toys are mine, do not touch!

Because I Love you Daddy!

Daddy, Mommy found these lyrics today and wanted me to send them to you. I love you with all my heart and you are the best daddy in the world. Mommy's friend is getting married and she said that she was having this song played at her wedding to dance with her dad. Mommy had never heard the song and decided that she would look up the words. She found them and was thinking about her wedding day and dancing with GaGa and then was thinking about Me and my daddy. She wanted to share them with everyone. Hope this brings a tear to your eye.

Once again Daddy, I love you! Love Chloe Marie

I Loved Her First by Heartland.

Look at the two of you dancing that way
Lost in the moment and each others face
So much in love your alone in this place
Like there's nobody else in the world
I was enough for her not long ago
I was her number one
She told me so
And she still means the world to me
Just so you know
So be careful when you hold my girl
Time changes everything
Life must go on
And I'm not gonna stand in your way

But I loved her first and I held her first
And a place in my heart will always be hers
From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
And I prayed that she'd find you someday
But it still hard to give her away
I loved her first

How could that beautiful women with you
Be the same freckle face kid that I knew
The one that I read all those fairy tales to
And tucked into bed all those nights
And I knew the first time I saw you with her
It was only a matter of time

But I loved her first and I held her first
And a place in my heart will always be hers
From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
And I prayed that she'd find you someday
But its still hard to give her away
I loved her first

From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
Someday you might know what I'm going through
When a miracle smiles up at you
I loved her first

Doctor's Visit and Weekend Fun!

On Friday I had my one year doctor's visit. I am a very healthy girl! I am 28 inches long and weigh 18 lbs 9 ozs! Yup that's right, 18 lbs! I am still riding backwards but am ok with that. I thought I might hit a milestone to be able to turn the car seat around but no. Oh Well, maybe by my 15 month appt. The doctor said that I don't have to eat baby food anymore (which momma and dadda weren't feeding me anyways) and can eat big people food. I am also drinking my milk without the chocolate in it.

On Saturday, we got up really early and went to St Louis to meet my Great-Great Aunt Marie. She is so sweet and funny. We had a really good time. Dadda had never met her either so it was a first for both of us. Then we came home that evening! It was just a day trip. Gramma, GaGa and Ben went too!

On Sunday it was back to the fair for some more food. I ate corn on the cob and a little sloppy joe and a chocolate milk shake! That fair food is so good!!! Then we came home and Momma and Dadda set up my pool. It is a frog that spits water out of his head. I HAD A BLAST! Kya got in too and we had a lot of fun splashing around. Momma said that she will put the pictures up when she gets home (that is if she can get on the internet)! I think that is all for now!

Lots of love,
Chloe Marie

Update on Me!

So now that I am 1 I have finished all of my formula and now am drinking milk. At first I didn't like milk, but then Mama found some Carnation Instant Breakfast and put that in my milk and now I love milk. It is almost like a milkshake.

Tomorrow starts the Hamilton County 4-H Fair and I get to enjoy my first grilled cheese and milk shake. I can't wait. Mommy and Daddy have been going every year since they have been together.

On Friday, I go to my 1 year doctors appt and hopefully I will be over the 20 lb mark so Mommy and Daddy can turn my car seat around and I can watch out the front window to where we go.

This is me with my birthday tiara. I hated it on. Good thing Mommy didn't spend a lot of money on it.

Well, I think that is all for now. Sorry no major milestones happening, but I continue to learn new words and love my TUPPERWARE!!!

Love to all,
Chloe

Happy Birthday Elle!

Happy Birthday Elle! This is my friend who my mommy and daddy met her mommy and daddy, Stephanie and Bryce, when they were in a childbirth class together. We are both honeymoon babies. We were supposed to be a week apart (with Elle born first), but I decided to make my debut 2 days before Elle. It was fun! Stephanie came up and saw me the day that I was born and we were there just moments after beautiful Elle made her debut to this world.

Happy Birthday Elle!

With love,
Chloe, Corinne and Jason Barnett

Happy Birthday Chloe!

Today Chloe turns 1! Last night when we were playing and watching a movie, I was thinking back a year ago and what we were doing at different times of that night. I woke up this morning and realized that I am so blessed to have such a beautiful, smart daughter and the most wonderful husband in the world. I wouldn't change my life for anything else in this world. Chloe has made my life whole and complete.

On this day last year, Jason and I were holding hands just him and I and awaiting the arrival of our daughter. We had SEVERAL hours of waiting and contractions and waiting to find out that I needed to have a C-Section and at 8:16pm Chloe Marie was born weighing in at 7lbs 4 ozs. She was so beautiful with her head full of hair. She was perfect - 10 fingers and 10 toes and a beautiful tan skin. She was the most beautiful baby I had ever seen! It amazes me how she can make you laugh and cry in the same moment!

She is so curious about the world and her environment. She loves to eat big people food and has pretty much given up on the baby food. She takes bites off of bananas, cookies, hamburgers and hot dogs, but doesn't like juice. We have been giving her tastes of whole milk in her sippy cup, but she doesn't care for it. Uh-Oh because she is NOT going to be on formula much longer.

Looking back, this year has been amazing. There has been a lot of changes in the Barnett household as I am sure alot of you are aware by viewing Jason's Blog.

Here are some current photos of Chloe that were taken on Saturday by Drew's dad, Don Thompson. He is a fantastic photographer and this is his passion. Thank you Don for capturing our little girl in her moments of life. We love you!

Love always and forever, Chloe!
Your Momma,
Corinne
